The weather is getting warmer, and the urge to take some time off is becoming difficult to ignore. It’s a loud call that demands you to escape from the everyday routine for a few days and unwind. With everything that has happened in this year so far, we agree that a getaway is necessary!

We, your Mabalingwe family, understand the need to protect ourselves against COVID-19 is of utmost importance. You may have questions around how you will be able to keep yourself and your loved one’s safe. Along with the strict health and safety protocols in place at our Resort; we believe that our self-catering accommodation options are ideal for maintaining social distancing parameters that allow for a comfortable holiday stay.

In a survey conducted by our managing agent VRS; guests were asked if they agree that self-catering Resorts are the right fit for social-distancing friendly holidays.

Self-catering accommodation offers you spacious units; private kitchen amenities and in-unit facilities that you can manage during your stay. This allows guests to enjoy the privacy of having the unit all to themselves and reduces the number of encounters with other guests which is important during this time. You and your loved ones can rest easy knowing that you have your personal space to enjoy.


Our Housekeeping team will ensure that all units are meticulously cleaned and sanitized. Each of the units will be ‘sealed’ with the official HygienicHospitality label to indicate that thorough disinfection controls have been conducted. The label will also indicate that no one else entered the unit before your arrival. Housekeeping will be kept to a minimum to limit access to occupied units. We are working around the clock to make sure that we provide a clean environment. We ensure that we thoroughly clean all surfaces frequently. Hand sanitizer, touchless where possible, is available at all high-traffic points. Our front-desk team has been provided with face shields and masks for protection. We have opened most of our facilities for guests to enjoy with capacity limitations in place to manage social distancing. Even though most restrictions have been lifted, guests still have to wear a face mask that fully covers their mouth and nose when in public spaces. HEALTH AND SAFETY ETIQUETTES


In these times, it is important to ensure that all guests adhere to the arrival and departure schedule. By doing so, our Housekeeping team can thoroughly clean the units. When guests adhere to the schedule, we are able to manage the foot traffic of guests coming in and going out. Keeping check-in and check-out times ensures that our team can effectively manage social distancing parameters.

The novel COVID-19 virus has birthed new challenges surrounding our health and safety and ensuring we do our best to protect all parties involved. With self-catering accommodation options and the additional protocols, we have implemented; guests can relish in some well-deserved R&R while effectively maintaining social distancing.
