On Friday, 17 June 2020, we officially opened our gates to welcome business travellers to our Resort. We may not be permitted to open for leisure at the moment, but guests who are travelling for business can look forward to resting easy after a long day of work. You can rest and rejuvenate at our Resort, and even brainstorm in the bushveld! Our Waterberg treasure has all you need to liven up your business trip to make it both memorable and productive.
What you will need before checking in
Each individual checking-in at Mabalingwe Nature Reserve for intra-provincial business purposes must present the following documentation at Reception, upon arrival;
- Employer letter outlining the purpose of the business travel (Declaration on company letterhead)
- Copy of business-travellers ID

- Employer letter outlining the purpose of the business travel (Declaration on company letterhead)
- Permit as per Form 2 of the Regulations
- Copy of business-travellers ID
Please remember that each person must present this documentation; no ‘accompanying travellers’ will be permitted to stay at the Resort without the relevant documentation.
Business Travellers may, prior or upon arrival, be required to complete additional paperwork for Mabalingwe Nature Reserve’s records and as they apply to government regulations. The Resort reserves the right to refuse occupancy, should the required documentation not be supplied, or be insufficient, or inaccurate.
Safety remains our top priority
As we follow governments’ regulations and implement our own COVID-19 safety protocols, know that Mabalingwe Nature Reserve remains committed to providing you with the most comfortable stay. We continue to uphold the highest health and safety standards, in line with the government-communicated COVID-19 protocols and recommendations.
Complying with government regulations:
Please read through the below limitations for travel to a VRS-Managed Resort, as outlined and enforced by government. No exceptions will be made.
– Family (wife, husband, children or other relatives or friends) will not be permitted on the premises
– Maximum two persons sharing in a Unit
– VRS-Managed Resorts will not sell alcohol. Consumption of alcohol in public spaces is strictly prohibited
– Guests must adhere to the Resort-specific Rules and Regulations while visiting
Additional Health and Safety travel measurements:
- Completed documentation needs to be made available to the Resort, including; full name, identity number or passport number, nationality, residential address and cell phone contact.
- All persons must wear a mask upon entering the Resort premises and in public areas at all times.
- Temperature screening will be conducted on all persons upon arrival.
- All persons must complete a screening questionnaire.
Mabalingwe Nature Reserve remains committed to providing you with a most comfortable stay while upholding stringent health and safety protocols. For your health and safety, as well as that of other guests and our team, kindly take note that certain common areas will remain closed, decorative pieces have been removed and sanitation procedures implemented.
